Please use our on-line password recovery option. You will need to provide your login name in order to submit the request and have a new password emailed to your address. I need to change my email address on (or add an email address to) my CM/ECF user account. How do I do that?

Can I access the CM/ECF system after the courts regular business hours to file cases and review documents and docket sheets?
The court's electronic case filing system is available 24 hours,
seven days a week unless the system has been taken off-line for maintenance
or due to an emergency. Click here to login.
Can the general public electronically file cases and documents in those cases?
No. The general public is not authorized to obtain electronic case filing logins and
passwords and therefore, they are not authorized to file electronically in our court.
All cases and documents filed by the general public must be filed in paper form.
Can the general public view ECF cases and the documents in those cases?
Yes, the general public may view ECF Cases and documents filed in those cases by obtaining
a Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) login and password which provides access
to all federal court cases. PACER will charge fees for viewing/printing case dockets and documents
in those cases, therefore, cases and documents can be viewed free of charge utilizing the computers
made available at the Clerk's Office intake section. A new Privacy Policy on Closed cases filed prior
to December 1, 2003 protects private information. Cases must be closed for at least one year, all documents
are restricted include claims and will only be available to court users, case participants and attorneys and
public terminals. No access for terminated parties.
Are "pro se" debtors authorized to receive electronic service of documents filed in their cases?
Yes, pro se debtors are authorized to receive electronic service of documents filed
in their cases, but they must complete a request form and mail it to the Division where the
bankruptcy case is pending. The link to this request can be found by going to the home page of
the court website under Areas of Interest click on the link
"Filing without an Attorney"
and scroll down to the Forms area. If the debtor no longer wishes to receive email notification, a request to
stop electronic service form must be submitted to the court.
Will CM/ECF allow docketing in closed cases?
Yes, CM/ECF will allow items to be docketed in closed cases.
Some dockets are very long, with hundreds of entries. Can a docket report be run for only part of the docket?
Yes, a docket report can be generated for specific portions of the docket by typing in
the date range in the Filed or Entered date blocks, or by designating a particular document
number range prior to running the report. However, when using filters, entries that do not
have a document, paperless entries, do not display on the whittled down Docket Report.
Why am I unable to access documents on closed cases?
The Judicial Conference Privacy Policy was established to protect against publishing private
information as of December 1, 2003. With the release of CM/ECF Version 4.1, it will restrict
ALL documents filed before December 1, 2003, on cases closed for at least one year and claims
are included. Every document will be restricted regardless of content. Documents on closed
cases will only be available to court users, case participants and attorneys or by using the
court public terminals but terminated parties will not be given access.

I need to electronically file an adversary complaint. Do you still require an adversary cover sheet and summons to be filed with the complaint?
No. An adversary cover sheet and summons is not required to be filed when opening/filing
an adversary complaint. The summons will generate once the case is opened and the complaint is filed.
How do I submit an alias/pluries summons?
With the exception of Judge Funk/Jacksonville Division, alias/pluries summons are submitted
via the "eProposed Orders"
link using the caption Alias Summons, under the Electronic Filing/Submissions column on the right side
of the home page of our court's website.

I filed a new bankruptcy case in Jacksonville that should have been filed in Orlando. How do I fix this?
An appropriate motion to change the venue along with a proposed order must be filed in
the case for consideration by the Judge.
I accidently filed a duplicate case for a debtor. Can you delete it from CM/ECF?
Unfortunately, once a case is filed with the court it cannot be removed or deleted from CM/ECF. An
appropriate motion must be filed to dispose of the case, and once a judge is assigned the proposed
order should be uploaded. If there is a fee issue involved, the call should be referred to the training team.
In what format am I required to submit the creditor matrix?
Creditors are uploaded directly into the system as a text (.txt) file - not a PDF image

The creditors can be uploaded by taking the following steps:
> Login to CM/ECF as is filing a document.
> Select Bankruptcy from the Main Menu Bar.
> Select Creditor Maintenance from the events list.
> Select either Enter individual creditors or Upload a creditor matrix file from the events list.
Note: Upload a creditor matrix file can only be used if you are able to extract the creditor.txt or creditor.scn file from your software.
> Enter the case number. Click [Next].
> Continue with the upload process.
A receipt will display at the conclusion of the process indicating how many creditors were uploaded.
I filed schedules, signed under penalty of perjury electronically by the debtors, a few days after the filing of the petition. Do I need to file another Declaration Under Penalty of Perjury for Electronic Filing page?
Yes. Every time a document is filed that has been electronically signed by the debtor(s)
under penalty of perjury, a separate Declaration Under Penalty of Perjury for Electronic Filing
must be filed containing the physical signature of the debtor(s). The Declaration should be related
back to the electronically signed document if it is filed separately on the docket.
